Accelerated Basra Project to Increase Gas Supply and Reduce Flaring

The Oil Ministry launched an accelerated project in Basra to boost gas production and supply.

Izzat Saber Ismail said it aims to improve associated gas utilization.

It includes gas transfer from Bin Omar, Majnoon, and North Rumaila fields.

It will supply gas to power stations.

The project spans about 8.5 km in two phases.

The first phase is expected within 15 days.
