The leader of the National Shiite Movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, on Sunday congratulated Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi on the formation of his government, urging him to fight corruption.
A statement from Al-Sadr's office received mentioned that "Al-Sadr made a phone call today to Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, congratulating him on forming the government and urging him to preserve the country's sovereignty and improve the service reality after seeing his vigor, determination, and insistence on improving the Iraqi reality."
Al-Sadr urged Al-Zaidi to "stand firmly to fight corruption, preserve the country's capabilities, and ensure a decent living for the Iraqi people by providing services, meeting their needs, and protecting their rights."
