Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi affirmed on Thursday that the agreement between Iran and the United States of America contributes to sparing the region further chaos and instability. This came during Al-Zaidi's reception of the Pakistani Ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Zeeshan, where both sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation in economic, commercial, security, and investment fields. During the meeting, which addressed developments in the region, the Prime Minister praised "Pakistan's active role and its mediation efforts that led to de-escalation, cessation of hostilities, and the reaching of an agreement between Washington and Tehran." Al-Zaidi stressed that the agreement is poised to prevent the exacerbation of chaos and instability in the region, reaffirming Iraq's stance in supporting security and fostering constructive partnerships.
