The Anbar Criminal Court issued a life imprisonment sentence against a man and his wife after being found guilty of drug trafficking. The accused were caught with 14,000 amphetamine pills intended for sale and distribution among users. The ruling was based on Article (28/First) of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. (50) of 2017, along with Articles (47, 48, and 49) of the Penal Code, demonstrating the judiciary's strict stance on drug-related offenses.
