Baghdad Markets Witness Stability in Local and Foreign Gold Prices

Prices for both Iraqi and foreign gold remained stable in Baghdad's local markets today, Saturday, holding the levels last seen on Thursday. At wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street, a mithqal of 21-carat foreign gold (Gulf, Turkish, European) sold for 945,000 IQD and bought for 941,000 IQD. Iraqi 21-carat gold sold for 915,000 IQD per mithqal, with buying at 911,000 IQD. For jewelers and retail outlets, 21-carat Gulf gold's selling price ranged from 945,000 to 955,000 IQD per mithqal. Iraqi 21-carat gold's selling price, conversely, varied between 915,000 and 925,000 IQD per mithqal.
