Upon officially assuming his duties, Defense Minister Naif Al-Shammari issued on Saturday his first directive, banning commanders and officers from appearing in media or issuing ministry statements, as well as posting on social networks. A ministerial statement clarified that statements are strictly limited to the official defense spokesman, noting that all legal measures will be taken against any violators.
