Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, addressing the 81st UN General Assembly in New York under President el-Sisi's mandate, declared that Mideast peace hinges on a political settlement. This must end Israeli occupation, establishing an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Madbouly stressed Egypt's categorical rejection of Palestinian land annexation or population displacement, emphasizing territorial unity. He noted the two-state solution faces unprecedented challenges: Israeli settlement expansion, land seizure, escalating settler violence in the West Bank, and attempts to alter East Jerusalem's historical and legal status. The Prime Minister urged supporting the Palestinian Authority to fulfill responsibilities, restoring its Gaza Strip role to preserve Palestinian land and institutional unity. He also affirmed full implementation of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan: ceasefire respect, humanitarian aid, Israeli withdrawal, arms limitation, international stabilization force deployment, empowering Gaza's national committee, and initiating reconstruction. Finally, Madbouly welcomed Britain, France, Canada, and other nations' actions against settlement activities deemed illegal by Egypt in occupied Palestinian territories.
