Family inheritance dispute leads to murder crime in Baghdad

Within the context of ongoing security efforts to enforce the rule of law and pursue perpetrators, the Baghdad Karkh Police Command announced today the arrest of a wanted suspect in connection with the murder of his uncle following an inheritance dispute in the Jukok area of the capital, Baghdad. According to the official statement, detachments from the Hurriya Police Department initiated investigation and inquiry procedures immediately upon receiving information regarding the incident, successfully identifying and arresting the suspect through precise field follow-up. Security authorities clarified that the force managed during the operation to seize a Kalashnikov rifle along with a magazine and 25 rounds in the possession of the suspect, which are suspected to have been used in carrying out the crime. The command concluded by emphasizing that all necessary legal measures have been taken against the detainee, and he has been referred properly to the competent judicial authorities to complete investigations and procedures according to the law.
