Actor Farouk Floux has announced his refusal to allow his son, actor Ahmed Floux, to participate in the upcoming Ramadan 2027 series "Ashmawy," following an invitation from the series lead Mohamed Ramadan to appear as a guest star. Farouk Floux expressed reservations about accepting the role, emphasizing that his son's artistic history does not align with the role offered at this time. Floux stated, "My son's artistic career is significant, and what happened is wrong; he will not participate in 'Ashmawy' or any project currently, as his status is greater than that," directing a clear message to Mohamed Ramadan: "Avoid provoking your fellow artists." This stance has sparked widespread debate regarding the nature of relationships and disputes between Mohamed Ramadan and several artists in the entertainment industry, especially given the reactions following the invitation and the public refusal, raising questions about the behind-the-scenes of the anticipated production. Farouk Floux is known for his long-standing career in theater, cinema, and television, and there has been no official response from Mohamed Ramadan regarding this position. The conflict between Ahmed Floux and Mohamed Ramadan dates back to 2011 when they co-starred in the series "Ehna El Tolaba," where Ahmed Floux played the lead role and Mohamed Ramadan had a secondary role due to his newcomer status. During the filming of a scene, Mohamed Ramadan did not adhere to the scripted lines, causing a dispute with the director who objected to his actions. At that moment, Ramadan addressed Ahmed Floux loudly in front of the crew, asking, "What do you think of my performance in this scene? Did I make a mistake?" Ahmed Floux replied, "This is not my concern; the director is the one who objected." Feeling embarrassed, Mohamed Ramadan responded, "The time will come when you remember that I asked for your opinion on my scene," and the incident ended with Ahmed Floux withdrawing without further comment. Since then, their relationship has been strained, and they have not collaborated again, despite statements from actor Mohamed Nagati who acknowledged the dispute without revealing details, as he witnessed the event. Ahmed Floux also confirmed in a television program that he would not work with Mohamed Ramadan again. The series "Ashmawy" stars Mohamed Ramadan, Yousra El Lozy, Esaad Younis, Basem Samra, and Entesar, written by Mohamed Ismail Amin and directed by Peter Mimi, scheduled to air in the upcoming Ramadan season.
