Gold prices experienced a slight decline during early Asian trading on Tuesday, influenced by the strengthening of the US dollar and investors' anticipation of the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision scheduled for Wednesday. Spot gold prices fell by 0.1% to $4013.70 per ounce, while December futures contracts declined by 0.3% to $4027.10. The rise in the dollar reduces the appeal of gold priced in US currency for holders of other currencies, as markets await clear signals on the trajectory of interest rates amid ongoing inflation concerns. In other precious metals markets, silver edged up 0.1% in spot trading to $53.97 per ounce, platinum remained steady at $1527.81, and palladium dropped by 0.7% to $1042.43 per ounce.
