Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi is set to depart tomorrow, Tuesday, for the Republic of Turkey, leading a high-level official delegation. This visit comes in response to an official invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The government spokesperson, Haider Al-Aboudi, stated that the Iraqi government delegation will engage in discussions in Ankara regarding several strategic cooperation files. These encompass economic, trade, investment, security, and military aspects, alongside addressing the regional crisis and its developments of mutual concern. Al-Aboudi affirmed that the water file will receive particular attention during this official visit, in addition to understandings related to this matter under the Iraqi-Turkish framework agreement. Furthermore, talks will cover energy sectors and the Development Road project, including its implementation requirements to ensure the realization of mutual interests between the two neighboring countries.
