Housing Ministry Reports Major Progress With New Jadriya Bridge Reaching 65 Percent Completion and Abu Nuwas 88 Percent

The Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities announced Saturday marked progress in building the second Jadriya Bridge, completing approximately 230 meters of its total 520-meter length, with the project’s execution rate surpassing 65 percent. Ministry spokesperson Nabil Al-Saffar stated in press remarks that ongoing field construction aims to establish a crucial traffic corridor connecting Karkh and Rusafa. He noted that the structure will significantly enhance vehicular flow and directly integrate with Al-Qadisiyah, Nisoor Square, and adjacent districts. Al-Saffar added that the bridge forms a key segment of the Abu Nuwas Street rehabilitation initiative opened earlier. He revealed that cumulative progress across the entire development has reached approximately 88 percent, encompassing both sections of Abu Nuwas Street, the Al-Qadisiyah flyover, and the new bridge.
