The Ansar Allah Houthi movement announced on Monday the execution of a broad military operation targeting the King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia. This significant operation, which involved launching dozens of ballistic missiles and drones, comes, according to the movement's statements, in response to what it described as ongoing "Saudi aggression" against Yemen. The movement clarified that this operation is part of escalating regional tensions, noting that over 300 airstrikes were conducted on various Yemeni governorates over the past five days. It stated that these raids were carried out by Saudi F15 and Typhoon warplanes, which originated from the Khamis Mushait and Taif bases. According to the movement's account, the operation targeted "military facilities and infrastructure" within the King Khalid Air Base, including warplane hangars, radars, runways, ammunition depots, and other vital objectives. The movement affirmed that the hits were "precise and direct," resulting in "significant losses" at the targeted base. In a related context, the movement emphasized the continuation of its military operations deeper into Saudi territory as long as what it considers "aggression" against the Yemeni people persists. It warned that any new aggression would be met with "broader and more severe" operations, asserting its policy of "establishing the equation of siege for siege and escalation for escalation," and the continued targeting of Saudi mobilizations until military operations cease entirely and the blockade on Yemen is lifted.
