The Iranian Ministry of Defense affirmed on Sunday its readiness to respond immediately and decisively in a proportional manner to any threat targeting the country's security, emphasizing that the timing, scope, and consequences of the response will not be determined by the threatening party. Defense Minister and Support of the Armed Forces, Mehrdad Akhlaghi, stated that Iran is firmly pursuing the implementation of a clear strategy to respond to any threat regardless of geographic location. Akhlaghi noted that the ministry has received precise strategic directives from the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, which outline the roadmap for the defense system in the upcoming phase, affirming the ministry's commitment to translate these directives into tangible field achievements. He also mentioned that the ministry will utilize all organizational, industrial, and technological capabilities, in cooperation with experts and specialized companies, and in coordination with the General Staff and the Armed Forces to enhance readiness and national capability. The defense minister concluded with a clear warning that any aggression will be met with a decisive response, stressing that Iran will not be caught off guard by threats, will not yield to pressures, and will firmly defend its security, independence, and territorial integrity.
