As part of its continuous efforts to combat corruption and protect public funds, Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council announced on Monday the recovery of 51 billion Iraqi dinars. This significant retrieval, benefiting Al-Rafidain Bank, was achieved through the diligent efforts of the Rusafa Investigation Court, which specializes in integrity and money laundering cases. A statement issued by the judiciary clarified that this operation stems from financial and administrative corruption crimes, falling within the determined endeavors to put an end to practices that deplete national resources. The intensive judicial procedures and meticulous investigations conducted by the court resulted in the successful recovery of these funds, with an affirmation of continuing legal actions against anyone proven to be involved in illicit methods to gain profits at the expense of public funds.
