A high-level Iraqi security delegation visited Kuwait on Thursday, reflecting Baghdad's ongoing efforts to bolster communication and coordination with neighboring countries and address bilateral cooperation files. This diplomatic security initiative aligns with directives from the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, underscoring adherence to good neighborliness principles and fostering cooperation with sisterly and friendly nations, particularly within the regional context. Under the direct instruction of First Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, Director of the Commander-in-Chief's Office, the Iraqi delegation was received by Major General Abd al-Wahhab Ahmad al-Wahib, Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, at the ministry's headquarters. The delegation comprised Lieutenant General Saad Maan, head of the Security Media Cell in the Commander-in-Chief's Office, Sabah Al-Nu'man, official spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief, along with Haidar Al-Tamimi, Consul of the Iraqi Embassy in Kuwait, and Diaa Al-Ameri, Chargé d'Affaires. During their discussions, Lieutenant General Maan conveyed greetings from the Director of the Commander-in-Chief's Office to the Kuwaiti side, affirming the profound historical and fraternal bonds between the two nations. He emphasized Iraq's strong commitment to enhancing joint cooperation and coordination with Kuwait across all areas of mutual interest. The meeting further delved into future cooperation prospects and mechanisms for strengthening communication and coordination among relevant institutions. The objective is to solidify fraternal ties, reinforce good neighborliness, and foster strategic partnership.
