The Spanish Football Federation has appointed referee Juan Martínez Munuera to officiate the highly anticipated El Clasico match between Barcelona and Real Madrid, scheduled for Sunday at Camp Nou as part of the Spanish league competition. Munuera will be assisted by Diego Barbero and Miguel Martínez, while Javier Iglesias will serve as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) with support from José Antonio López. Munuera has previously officiated four matches between the two teams, with Real Madrid winning three and Barcelona one, including a notable 4-0 victory for Real Madrid in the 2023 Copa del Rey semi-final. Barcelona currently leads the league standings with 27 points, six points ahead of Real Madrid, who sit in third place.
