French star Kylian Mbappé, striker for Real Madrid, has expressed his belief that the current year presents a propitious opportunity for him to secure the Ballon d'Or award for the first time in his career. This optimism stems from Mbappé's exceptional performance last season, where he claimed the titles of top scorer in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, in addition to being the all-time leading scorer in World Cup tournaments. In related context, Karim Benzema, the former French player for Real Madrid, was the last to win this prestigious award in 2022, having led his team to secure both the domestic league and the European Champions League titles. Emphasizing his ambition, Mbappé stated in an interview, "I think this is a good year to win it. My best lawyer is my feet, no matter what I say. The most important thing for me is that the Ballon d'Or returns to Real Madrid." Mbappé underscored the significance of the award returning to the royal club: "It must return to Santiago Bernabéu, to Real Madrid fans, and return for all those people to give them hope. These people deserve it more than anyone else." He added that playing for Real Madrid "elevates a player to a higher level."
