The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced on Wednesday the commencement of disbursing social assistance for November 2026 to over two million families across various Iraqi provinces, excluding the Kurdistan Region, with a total amount exceeding 434 billion Iraqi dinars. Ahmed Khalaf, head of the Social Protection Authority, stated that the payment included more than 1.475 million families headed by men, with amounts exceeding 351 billion dinars, while the number of families headed by women exceeded 555,000, with amounts surpassing 82 billion dinars. He confirmed that the Social Protection Authority completed all necessary technical, administrative, and financial procedures in coordination with relevant bodies to ensure a smooth disbursement process and the delivery of entitlements to eligible families. Beneficiaries were urged to visit authorized payment points to receive their assistance.
