NATO European Commander Rules Out Any Attack On Kaliningrad

Amid ongoing tensions along European borders, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, US General Alexus Grynkewich, clarified that the military alliance has no plans to launch attacks targeting the Russian region of Kaliningrad, stating that all field movements and activities are strictly limited to responding in the event of any direct aggression. Grynkewich explained, during an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, that the alliance is very keen to carry out its military exercises and maneuvers along the eastern flank in a calculated manner to avoid them being interpreted as hostile acts against Moscow. These developments and official statements come in the wake of previous warnings issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which he stressed that his country is prepared to use all available capabilities and means to defend its sovereignty and territory when facing any potential threat or attack.
