Oil prices saw a rise today, Friday, positioning them to record their largest weekly gains since mid-July. This ascent comes as escalating tensions and renewed hostilities between the United States and Iran stirred concerns over supply conditions from the Middle East. Brent crude futures climbed 15 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $95.67 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate futures increased 26 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $91.56. On a weekly basis, Brent gained 7.1 percent and U.S. crude 9.8 percent, heading towards their highest gains since the week ending July 20.
