Paris Saint-Germain has suffered a significant setback after confirming that their Georgian star, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his right knee, requiring urgent surgery following their Champions League match against Barcelona. The injury occurred during PSG's 4-2 victory over Barcelona on Tuesday, when Kvaratskhelia twisted his knee and was forced to leave the field before the hour mark, unable to continue due to the severity of the injury. The team's troubles did not end there, as Ousmane Dembélé also left the match in the 19th minute due to a thigh injury, and defender Marquinhos suffered a similar injury, increasing the likelihood of three players missing games and complicating the team's situation. The club stated that Dembélé and Marquinhos will undergo treatment programs over the coming weeks, while Kvaratskhelia prepares for surgery to address his serious injury. Despite these setbacks, Paris Saint-Germain continues its Champions League campaign at the top of their group after winning their first three matches.
