Faleh Al-Fayyad, head of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), revealed on Sunday that various entities have spent hundreds of billions of dollars with the aim of "distorting the image of Iraqis and changing their identity." Al-Fayyad affirmed that the Iraqi people have succeeded in preserving their authenticity and identity despite these attempts. These statements came during a speech at the Arba'een al-Thara gathering, where he commemorated the "Martyred Leader." Al-Fayyad explained that this leader embodied a unique approach, enduring hardships and adversities, and garnered unprecedented popular attachment in contemporary history. Al-Fayyad further clarified that leaders sacrificing their lives at the onset of battles is a momentous and unusual matter. He noted that the funeral procession in Iraq was a resounding event, affirming the great stature of the martyr at a human level and awakening the defense of dignity and holy sites. Al-Fayyad indicated that the "martyr forged a nation and revived a conscience, and forces of evil could not obscure his insight." He reiterated his assertion that hundreds of billions were spent to distort the identity and image of Iraqis. He emphasized that the Iraqi people, through the authority of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid al-Sistani and the noble tribes, expressed their identity and authenticity by organizing the majestic funeral procession. This proved that Iraq is a cradle for great figures and its people are steadfast in their original identity, with Iraqi tribes being the first, before all other parties, to embrace the organization of the "Martyred Leader's" funeral rites.
