Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Saturday directed the implementation of additional service projects for visitors and the expansion of the holy courtyard of Al-Askariyah Shrine. His directives followed a meeting with a delegation from Al-Askariyah Shrine, led by its Secretary-General, Nafie Jameel Khalf. Al-Zaidi received a detailed presentation on the Shrine's construction and service projects, its infrastructure development, and efforts to accommodate growing visitor numbers. The discussion also covered Samarra city's needs for stability and comprehensive development. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of ongoing reconstruction and development in the city, directing authorities to provide optimal support and accelerate these projects to bolster Samarra's religious, historical, and service standing. His directives further included launching more service projects for visitor comfort, such as the expansion of Al-Askariyah Shrine's holy courtyard, and exploring the establishment of hotels and tourist facilities to boost the city's economic and developmental drive. Additionally, Al-Zaidi instructed service and engineering teams to address damage on the Baghdad-Samarra road to ensure smooth traffic and easy visitor access to the city.
