The General Directorate for Drug Affairs announced on Saturday the arrest of a suspect who escaped from a detention center in Diyala and was captured in Anbar province. The directorate stated in a release that intensive security and intelligence efforts led by a joint team from the Drug Affairs Directorates in Diyala and Anbar resulted in apprehending the wanted suspect after fleeing from the Diyala detention center to Anbar. The operation followed precise intelligence monitoring and coordinated security efforts between the two directorates' units, enabling the identification of the suspect's location and tracking his movements. Necessary procedures were taken to arrest him and refer him to the competent authorities to complete legal actions. The directorate confirmed that investigations have commenced to uncover the circumstances of the incident and hold accountable those responsible according to established protocols.
