Syrian artist Moatasem Al Nahar is set to embark on a new and distinct chapter in his career, as the Murex D'or committee has selected him, alongside media personality Maya Abou El Hassan, to host the 26th edition of the prestigious artistic ceremony. The event is scheduled for September 5th at Casino du Liban. Al Nahar's participation marks his debut in television presenting and major artistic events, signifying a notable shift in his professional trajectory. He will appear before the audience in a different capacity than his usual acting roles, a move that adds a new dimension to his career, which has primarily focused on drama and cinema in recent years. This prominent selection follows Al Nahar's impactful presence during the Ramadan 2026 season, particularly through the series "Lobby El Gharam," where he co-starred with several leading drama figures. Following this, the artist further expanded his work beyond Syrian drama to include Egyptian productions. Al Nahar recently concluded filming the series "Ana Ant... Ant Mish Ana" in Egypt, marking his first leading role in Egyptian drama, alongside actress Myrna Nour El Din. He also established his presence in Egyptian cinema with the film "Naseeb," co-starring Yasmine Sabri. Al Nahar's career trajectory extends beyond his new hosting role, as he is also preparing for a fresh dramatic endeavor in the Ramadan 2027 season. His renewed collaboration with Eagle Films and producer Jamal Sinan has been confirmed, building on their significant success with "Lobby El Gharam." The upcoming dramatic work is a social-comedy, penned by Jimmy Bou Eid and directed by Joe Bou Eid. Preparations are underway to unveil its complete details and the full cast.
