Argentine football legend Carlos Tevez has confirmed that the global stars of the sport, Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina's Lionel Messi, will play together in the same team for the first time in an exceptional footballing event. This historic occasion is set to take place at the famous La Bombonera stadium in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, as part of Tevez's farewell match scheduled for December 2026. This anticipated footballing reunion is considered unique, as Tevez, who played alongside both legends during his professional career – Messi with the Argentine national team and Ronaldo at Manchester United – managed to secure their personal agreement to participate in his team. In televised statements, the Argentine star expressed his long-held dream, saying: "I have always dreamed of seeing Cristiano and Leo play in the same team. They are the greatest players of all time. I contacted them, especially Cristiano. I told him: Cristiano, I want you and Messi in the same team in my farewell match. So that the whole world can witness this magic once and for ever."
