The General Traffic Directorate announced a partial closure of Al-Muthanna and 14 Ramadan bridges on the Karkh side, for essential maintenance work. Al-Muthanna Bridge maintenance includes scraping and resurfacing the road, along with replacing and repairing the bridge joints. Work starts from 11:00 PM on Thursday and continues until 5:00 AM on Tuesday. The partial closure affects the road from the Karkh side towards Rusafa. Maintenance for the 14 Ramadan Bridge will also involve replacing and repairing its joints, starting from 11:00 PM on Thursday until 5:00 AM on Sunday. The partial closure will affect the lane coming from the Karkh side, specifically from Al-Ateefiya ascent towards Al-Adhamiya and vice-versa. The Directorate urged citizens and drivers to be aware of these measures, use alternative routes, and adhere to traffic police instructions during the work period.
