The General Traffic Directorate confirmed on Saturday its ongoing monitoring of traffic violations using smart camera systems and modern radars deployed across main roads and intersections. The Directorate stated these measures aim to enhance traffic safety, reduce accidents, and maintain smooth traffic flow in the capital and several governorates. It urged all drivers and road users to strictly adhere to traffic law provisions and current regulations. Directives include: observing speed limits, respecting traffic lights and signs, refraining from mobile phone use while driving, fastening seatbelts and following safety procedures, avoiding stopping or parking in prohibited areas, and granting priority to pedestrians while observing road etiquette. The Directorate stressed that adherence to the law is a shared responsibility vital for protecting lives and property, affirming continued legal action against violators.
