The Ministry of Agriculture has denied any health risks associated with the consumption of imported eggs, affirming that these eggs do not cause diseases such as avian influenza. The ministry's spokesperson emphasized that such claims lack scientific basis and constitute misinformation to the public. He pointed out that the countries exporting eggs to Iraq have not reported any cases of avian influenza, nor has the World Health Organization issued any warnings on this matter. He also clarified that the imported quantities did not exceed 20,000 cartons. Furthermore, he suggested that these rumors might be attempts by some producers to influence prices, urging the public to avoid spreading inaccurate information that could cause unnecessary concern among citizens.
