The political and security scene witnessed prominent developments represented by the Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, receiving Defense Minister Nayef al-Shammari on Monday evening, where important security and strategic files related to the future of the military institution in the country were discussed. At the beginning of the meeting, al-Maliki offered his sincere congratulations to the minister on the occasion of gaining parliament's confidence, wishing him success in his grand national tasks.
