A prominent security and political development has emerged, marked by a mutual understanding to terminate the presence of armed opposition factions in the northern regions. Within this context, the Iranian Ambassador to the Iraqi capital, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq, announced on Tuesday that a formal consensus had been reached to remove elements of Iranian separatist groups stationed in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, or to take measures to hand them over to the Iranian judiciary. These developments were revealed through a post published by the diplomat on the X platform, in which he clarified that these steps embody the pathways of joint security cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad, resulting from the meetings of the joint security committee in the presence of the Iranian delegation and the Iraqi National Security Advisor, with the aim of enhancing border stability and preventing any potential tensions between the two neighboring countries.
