Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi emphasized on Tuesday the government's commitment to developing the tourism sector in Iraq, highlighting the country's significant tourism potential. This statement came during his meeting with Pamela Hamilton, Executive Director of the International Trade Centre (ITC), and her accompanying delegation, where they discussed avenues for cooperation between Iraq and the ITC across various fields, focusing on supporting economic and investment development. Al-Zaidi pointed out that Iraq offers numerous investment opportunities and that the government's policy is based on openness to foreign investments, providing investors with the best privileges and facilities. Hamilton praised the government's reform and investment orientations, stressing that stability is a fundamental factor for investment growth. The International Trade Centre expressed its readiness to support Iraq in preparing a national investment strategy, developing the tourism sector strategy, as well as supporting initiatives in agriculture and the digital economy.
