Al-Zidi launches housing land project and invites global companies to invest in Mosul airport

In a step aimed at enhancing infrastructure and providing service solutions to citizens, Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zidi headed to the city of Mosul on Monday, where he conducted a field visit to monitor a number of vital developmental and service projects in the governorate. Al-Zidi began his visit by laying the foundation stone, announcing the launch of the executive works for the one million residential land plots project under the title "Watan Initiative" in Nineveh Governorate, with the first phase starting by distributing 110,000 plots, contributing to addressing the housing crisis and meeting the needs of the residents. In a related context, the Prime Minister issued an official and direct invitation to major international companies specialized in the fields of airport management and operation to invest in Mosul International Airport and work on developing its services in a way that befits the status of Nineveh Governorate and the depth of its great civilizational history. During his meetings and field tour, Al-Zidi stressed the great importance that the city of Mosul represents as a prominent civilizational interface for Iraq and an important window to look out at the world, affirming the government's serious commitment to continuing efforts to complete stalled strategic projects and meet the living, economic, and service requirements of the citizens. He added that Mosul Airport is not limited to being a traditional service facility, but rather represents a vital and important gateway for the governorate and the country in general, especially in the wake of the decision to officially return Nineveh to the international aviation and investment map. He stressed that the government's aspirations are not limited to the expected companies building a regular service hall, but go beyond that to be a true strategic partner that elevates the airport to become an integrated service and economic landmark.
