On Monday, the head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, met in Erbil with Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani to discuss ties between Baghdad and the region, along with regional and domestic developments. The visit coincided with Sudani’s attendance at the Middle East Research Institute (MERI) conference. According to an official statement from Sudani's media office, discussions highlighted the necessity of strengthening coordination among national political forces to support the federal government. Both sides stressed that such cooperation helps maximize public revenues, address challenges, and ensure equitable public services for all citizens.
