Egyptian artist Amr Diab has added a new distinction to his illustrious career, receiving a Guinness World Records shield for achieving the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Arabia chart. This marks Diab's second Guinness title in his artistic journey spanning over four decades, with the recognition based on his remarkable performance on Billboard Arabia charts. The documentation of Diab's record began after his cumulative total reached 64 weeks in the top spot by May 30, 2026. He then added five more weeks, bringing his total time at number one to 69 weeks upon the official Guinness title announcement. These leading weeks were spread across six periods since January 13, 2024, including a continuous streak of 36 weeks starting April 12, 2025. His latest ascent to the top coincided with the release of his album "Habbitak" in summer 2026. Diab had previously reached 66 weeks at the chart's summit last July, further solidifying his position in subsequent weeks. Commenting on this achievement, Amr Diab credited his audience, emphasizing the vital importance of listener interaction with his work and his ongoing commitment to developing and diversifying his music. He stated that public engagement and satisfaction with each new creation represent his most significant accomplishment, a remark made alongside receiving the Guinness shield. "El Hadaba's" influence extends beyond the Top 100 Artists chart; his song "Baba" notably topped the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 for eight non-consecutive weeks in 2025. Diab has also maintained consistent presence on the Top 100 Artists chart since its December 2023 launch, making him one of only six artists to appear in all of its first 128 weeks. His name currently sits at number two on the Top 100 Artists chart, with 69 weeks at number one and a total of 145 weeks overall. This new entry further enriches Amr Diab's Guinness World Records history, solidifying his stature as a prominent record-holder in his musical career.
