The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced on Saturday the arrest of suspects running a fake factory involved in industrial fraud, along with the seizure of large quantities of counterfeit materials bearing the names of well-known international companies in Najaf province. The agency explained that accurate information indicated the existence of trademark counterfeiting operations for detergents in one of the fake factories in the province, leading to the formation of a task force for investigation and follow-up. Following investigations, the factory was located on agricultural land to evade security forces, and the tools used in the fraud operations were seized. The suspects admitted to purchasing raw materials, repackaging, and labeling them under the names of global companies to gain financial benefits, exploiting the agricultural nature of the area to avoid legal pursuit. The agency confirmed that all necessary legal and investigative procedures were taken against the suspects, emphasizing its commitment to monitoring all criminal activities to protect citizens from any threats to public security and health.
