Barcelona Plans Contract Renewal for Young Player Gurin

Barcelona, the current leader of the Spanish football league, is preparing to take significant steps to renew the contract of its young Israeli player, Orian Gurin, who is 17 years old. This decision follows the German head coach Hansi Flick's admiration for the midfielder's abilities and his desire to closely monitor him within the first team. Flick believes that Gurin possesses a unique talent and wants to regularly involve the player in first-team training sessions as a precursor to gradually promoting him in the near future. The coach sees that training alongside the first team's stars will provide Gurin with deeper technical and tactical experience, as well as help him adapt to the demands of top-level competition, without rushing to give him a main role at this stage. Currently, the player participates with Barcelona Atlètic, the club's reserve team, and is under contract until 2028. However, the club's management seeks to extend the contract in recognition of his development within the La Masia academy, which he joined in 2022 coming from Maccabi Tzafra in Israel. This season, Gurin has played in 6 matches for the reserve team, providing two assists, and has also received a call-up to represent the Israeli national team.
