The Civil Defense Directorate in Karbala Governorate announced on Wednesday the rescue of a child after her father threw her from the third floor to protect her from flames during a fire at a hotel. The directorate stated that the civil defense teams managed to extinguish a fire that broke out inside Al-Firdous Hotel located in the area between the two holy shrines, evacuating more than fifty guests and taking necessary measures to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring hotels. In a touching human scene, one of the guests reported that his three-year-old daughter was inside the hotel, which led him to throw her from the third floor to the second floor to save her from the fire. This prompted intensified search and investigation operations by the civil defense teams, who managed to find and rescue the child in good health.
