Amid current challenges and the sensitive phase facing the country, Defense Minister Nayef Mukhif Al-Shammari expressed his thanks and appreciation today, Friday, to the Prime Minister, political leaders, and members of Parliament, considering that gaining the confidence of the peoples representatives represents a national responsibility and a great trust that words alone cannot fulfill, but rather is proven by fieldwork and steadfast positions. Al-Shammari stressed in an official statement that he will base his duties on working with utmost professionalism and firmness, while fully committing to the constitution and the government program, placing the supreme interest of the homeland above every primary consideration. He concluded by emphasizing that Iraq remains a trust in the necks, its sovereignty a covenant that cannot be relinquished, stressing that serving the Iraqi people is a sacred responsibility that will be performed through actual deed rather than theoretical speech alone.
