The governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, announced on Saturday a tragic incident resulting from floods caused by heavy rains in the province. Khoshnaw explained that a 25-year-old young man died while operating a shovel in the Sebardan neighborhood. He had volunteered to assist residents with the shovel but fell into the floodwaters and drowned. The governor also noted that a five-year-old child was in a car with his father, who survived, while the child's fate remains unknown, raising concerns about his safety.
