Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein arrived in Washington D.C. on Sunday for an official visit aimed at completing bilateral dialogue and strengthening partnership. Minister Hussein announced, via a post on the 'X' platform, that he would hold a series of meetings with American officials. These meetings are intended to transition Iraqi-American relations towards a broader partnership built on mutual interests. He clarified that the agenda for discussions includes developing political, security, and economic cooperation, alongside opening new avenues for partnership that serve Iraq's interests, enhance its security, stability, and development, and support regional stability. He will also participate in discussions with leading think tanks in Washington.
