GCC Views Continued Iranian Attacks as Evidence of Tehran's Efforts to Undermine Regional Security

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Al-Budaiwi, expressed strong condemnation of the continued Iranian aggressions targeting both the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait. Al-Budaiwi clarified in a statement that Tehran's persistence in targeting infrastructure and civilian facilities in these countries constitutes clear evidence of its endeavors to destabilize regional security and stability, and to hinder ongoing peace efforts. The Secretary-General reiterated that these actions represent a dangerous and irresponsible escalation, a blatant violation of international laws and norms, and a direct threat to the stability and security of the entire region. He added that the security of Bahrain and Kuwait is considered an integral part of the GCC states' security system, emphasizing the member states' unified and firm stance alongside them, and their full support for all measures taken to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
