Global financial markets are witnessing widespread anticipation regarding the trends of the US economy, as the yellow metal maintained its levels at the start of Asian trading on Thursday, amid a state of caution prevailing among investors ahead of the upcoming employment report scheduled for release tomorrow, Friday, which is expected to provide clear signals about the future path of interest rates. Spot gold recorded a notable stability at $4146.66 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery experienced a slight decline of 0.3% to reach $4177. These developments come in the wake of economic data released on Wednesday showing an increase in inflation rates during August that was lower than expected, which led to a decrease in speculations about the Federal Reserve resorting to raising interest rates in October. Regarding other precious metals, silver recorded a 0.4% drop in spot transactions to reach $60.17 per ounce, platinum fell by 0.1% to $1704.95, and palladium dropped by 0.4% to $1200.85 per ounce.
