Within the framework of its persistent efforts to curb irregular migration and address its various impacts, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has intensified its executive procedures package, including making credit facilities available to all returnees without exception, provided they meet the established criteria and conditions. In this context, the Director of the Labor and Vocational Training Department at the Ministry, Osama Al-Khafaji, confirmed that the door for applying for facilitated loans is open to all interested returnees according to approved regulations. The official explained that these measures fall within the strategy aimed at creating a supportive economic environment that helps returnees achieve stability, social integration, and sustainable sources of income, which directly contributes to undermining the motives leading to irregular migration. He continued by pointing out that the ministry's plans are not limited to the awareness aspect regarding the dangers of irregular travel, but extend to practical steps including introducing available services to youth and returnees, as well as spreading the culture of social security to provide appropriate alternatives and employment opportunities. Al-Khafaji indicated that facilitated loans have been allocated for the returnee category funded by the relevant fund, explaining that those covered continue to complete their administrative transactions regularly. Regarding the sectors most capable of absorbing this demographic, he pointed to the importance of small projects in providing suitable economic prospects, noting that the rehabilitation program includes the returnee undergoing a business innovation course, psychological support sessions, and CV preparation before being referred to the loans department to finalize the transaction.
