The spokesperson for the Iraqi government, Haider Al-Aboudi, affirmed on Wednesday Iraq's commitment to an effective diplomatic program for coordinating stances and fostering cooperation. He clarified that Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi held numerous meetings in New York to coordinate positions and secure mutual interests. Al-Aboudi stated that the Prime Minister participated in the UN General Assembly's opening, listening to world leaders' proposals. He emphasized that Iraq, an important partner with global economic weight, possesses its own vision for solutions. These solutions stem from legal and constitutional constants, ensuring energy supplies and regional stability, while adopting good neighborliness and non-interference in affairs. This approach aims to transform disagreements into cooperation and integration for stability. He added that the Prime Minister's guiding principle, representing Iraq at the General Assembly, embodies the state's vision and government's program for crisis management and international stance coordination. Al-Aboudi stressed the Iraqi government's keenness on regional stability, coordinating with partners to formulate solutions that de-escalate tensions. He noted the region is the largest oil basin and a primary crude oil supplier to the global market, with Iraq being a crucial player. In promoting international openness, Al-Aboudi mentioned Iraq's adoption of mutual interests and respect for state sovereignty, actively shaping solutions and avoiding unproductive stances. He indicated the Prime Minister held several meetings in New York with Arab and foreign prime ministers, the King of Jordan, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, foreign heads of state, and the UNDP Director. These meetings aim to coordinate positions and enhance openness, securing common interests and continuous cooperation, conveying a message of global trust.
