The General Authority of Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring forecasts a rise in maximum temperatures across Iraq today, Tuesday, with an increase ranging from 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, particularly during midday. Conversely, the weather is expected to moderate during the night and early morning hours. The Authority's report indicates that the highest maximum temperatures will be recorded at 46 degrees Celsius in Basra and Maysan. These will be followed by Muthanna, Dhi Qar, and Najaf at 45 degrees. Karbala, Wasit, Babil, and Diwaniyah at 44 degrees. Baghdad and Diyala at 43 degrees. Salah al-Din and Anbar at 42 degrees. Nineveh at 41 degrees. Kirkuk at 40 degrees. Erbil at 38 degrees. And Duhok and Sulaymaniyah at 37 degrees Celsius. Winds will be southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, except for the eastern parts of the country and some northern areas where they will be variable in direction.
