Iraq Opens Doors to Japanese Companies for Diverse Sector Investment

Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi announced today, Sunday, that Iraq is welcoming Japanese companies for investment across its diverse economic sectors. The statement followed his reception of Japan's Ambassador to Baghdad, Akira Endo, who conveyed congratulations on the government's vote of confidence and greetings from Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. Al-Zaidi stressed that Iraq's doors are open for Japanese investments, especially in major strategic projects, infrastructure development, and key economic areas. He assured that the government would provide all necessary facilities for investors. Ambassador Endo, in turn, thanked Al-Zaidi and reaffirmed Japan's commitment to strengthening and developing bilateral relations to serve the common interests of both friendly nations.
