Iraq's Ministry of Oil announced today, Wednesday, the launch of an electronic link for "sticker" registration, preparing for the activation of the fuel card for gasoline vehicles. The Ministry stated, in a communiqué conveyed by the Oil Products Distribution Company, that this measure aligns with government directives for adopting automation and e-governance in services. With Oil Minister Bassem Mohammad Khudair's approval, the Oil Products Distribution Company, represented by its Studies and Planning Department, launched the link as a key requirement for completing the fuel card system for gasoline cars. In turn, Hussein Al-Kharsan, First Deputy Director General of the Company, stressed the necessity of prompt registration to finalize the vehicle database, which will facilitate the release of quotas and quantities within a distribution automation project. He affirmed that this measure ensures a fair and adequate share of gasoline for citizens.
