The Supreme Judicial Council announced on Friday the arrest of the Director General of the Salah al-Din Investment Commission over squandering public funds. The arrest was carried out by the Salah al-Din Integrity Investigation Court in connection with financial violations in a provincial investment project. Furthermore, legal procedures were fully taken against the accused, whose statements were documented before ordering his official detention in accordance with Article 340 of the Penal Code.
